Spring is so full of growth and renewal it makes me so excited everyday. The flowers and the smells inspire me. I try to capture the essence of spring in my newest cuff I am working on right now. It is a work in progress and I am calling it Renewal. All the greens, blues, and purples remind me of the new flowers starting to open with the spring rains. Here are some pictures in the working stage.

Back!!!
Wow I haven't posted anything since Feb 13. I have been so busy with all kinds of projects. I have been working with polymer clay and after lots and lots of trial/error I have created a few pieces I really like. I have listed a few on etsy and will continue to as I get more photographed. Here is a bit of what I have been doing.

A New Experience
So I tried something new and I really like it....Polymer Clay. I always thought I would be horrible at it but actually I am doing pretty good. I used a cabochon I made in a new piece I call "Mother Nature".
Then I also created a new etsy shop to sell some beads and new ones I am creating. My 8yr and I brainstormed one night and came up with Wise Owl Beads http://etsy.com/shop/wiseowlbeads. I love all my beads but to get new I guess you have to make room so I thought I would sell some and let someone else enjoy them too :) Here is a picture of another cabochon I made and have listed on etsy. I will post some rings I made over the next couple of days.

New Creations
I have finished a couple of new creations and I really like how they turned out. My first on is called "Malibu", when I was designing it I wanted it to reflect waves of the ocean. I love the way it turned out and the sparkle is really cool.
My next one I called "Jet" because the jet black twisted bugles are shiny ready for take off.
The last one is a necklace I called "Dreamers" I embroidered this on beautiful lambskin. Really cool and chic look.

Spring...I hear you calling
I love nature and all the beauty it has to offer. Summer is filled with water, fruit, and kids laughing. Fall is beautiful with reds, oranges, and the smell of fireplaces in the air. Winter has a special place in my heart because I love the look of the landscape with trees both bare and full side by side showing such amazing contrasts! So inspiring. But out of all the seasons Spring is my favorite! Everything is coming alive and you can feel the energy. Animals are having their babies, flowers are pushing their way to the sunshine, the once bare trees of winter are showing their beautiful glory for the spring sunshine. Colors are bright and so full of life.
I love to take pictures of the landscape and have them inspire my work. Lets see what this spring will inspire me to create

Carmen
I recently bought this really cool red cabochon.
AM I BLUE http://www.etsy.com/listing/65807140/am-
Although I loved it I just couldn't figure out what to do with it. Until I had the red cab sitting on my working mat and placed a crystal cab next to it and viola inspiration. It reminded me of Carmen Miranda. So I have finished the piece listed it and appropriately named it "Carmen"
